Is it possible, yet, to float an image, or a div, or just about any other box type item, to a corner of a page and still have the rest of the content flow around it?

A forum search showed it had been added to the roadmap, but is it functional yet? I'm working with a single column layout, so just moving the image into the correct column and then floating top or bottom won't work, nor will using the repelling content option, as I do need the text to flow around. If it's not a functioning feature yet, not a big deal, I just don't want to beat my head against the problem trying to force something that isn't possible.
