To achieve keep with previous and keep with next options we are using break-after property, but is this the right approach?

Secondly if i want to achieve of retaining a certain number of lines with options keep with previous or keep with next, how do i do it?

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to keep only a certain number of lines in Prince, as avoiding breaks before or after a paragraph results in avoiding breaks inside the paragraph too.

It is currently on our roadmap, although we don't have specific plans for when to fix it. The required change is likely to be quite involved.

The latest builds now have modified behaviour for break avoid situations and will try to split previous blocks when applicable instead of shifting the entire block to the next page!
