Error message: Content error in the external subset

In GUI (see attached)

starting with either <xhtml> or <html> on simple file:

<xhtml>
<head>
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
<div class="entry" >
<span>abcdef </span>

</div>
</body>
</xhtml>

I consistently get error message. When I try to CONVERT. I have no clue as to what is wrong.

I just downloaded the latest Prince 12.1. Installed on 64bit version on windows.

That's odd, I would only expect to see external subset errors for a document that contained a DOCTYPE declaration referring to a DTD, is this the same file that produces the error message?

My bad!!! You are right it was the DOCTYPE giving the error message. I was working on the wrong copy of the file. Maybe this will help someone in the future that gets a similar message to know what to look for. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!! Love Prince XML
