I try out this tool now. That is very efficient.
But it has a problem : the result PDF can't be printed via CUPS 2.1.3 on Ubuntu 16.04!

Except for the PDF which is created from princeXML, my printers can print normal PDFs.
I already tried many converted PDFs and the samples on https://www.princexml.com/samples/,
but the printer can't work.

One PDF is very simple, there is only one line of words :

But the printer still not work.

I offer the information of the printers: one is HP, another is Océ.

Print Command Line : lp -d myprinter test.pdf

HP printer:

When this printer catch the print job, printer will busy forever and can't work.

Océ printer:

When this printer catch the print job, printer interface show out error and stop job.

We will take a look at this, in the meantime I would suggest trying different fonts and seeing if that helps.

Perhaps the page size is too big, could you try recreating it with this CSS:

@page { size: A4 }
