I am evaluating Prince as a tool for work. We need to use it to print hi-res PDFs that are print ready.

The problem I am currently experiencing is that my tiff images are coming out just a black box. Jpegs work fine but the tifs do not. I tested out the file path by putting the incorrect one and the box vanished completely (as expected). I decreased the size of the tiff to a smaller file size and it still just displayed a black box.

Perhaps you could email me (mikeday@yeslogic.com) one of the TIFF files to test? It could be using a subformat that we haven't seen before.

It was the tiff files themselves. I used a quick converter which was the problem. Thank you for the help and direction

Great, glad to hear it's working.

On closer investigation, it seems that Prince cannot embed TIFF images with 16-bits per sample; only 8-bit images are currently supported. We will add support for 16-bit TIFF images in the next release.

Today we have released Prince 9 rev 5, which supports 16-bit TIFF images.
