It's been a while.

I have downloaded Prince for Solaris Sparc and installed it on a Solaris 8 (sparc) machine. After the initial installation and the addition of some missing packages, I now receive the following error when running Prince with no parameters:

./prince
ld.so.1: prince: fatal: libc.so.1: version `SUNW_1.22' not found (required by file /export/home/docengine/prince/lib/prince/bin/prince)
ld.so.1: prince: fatal: libc.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed

Looking at libc.so.1 I find that it is version 1.21

bash-2.03$ pvs -n /usr/lib/libc.so.1
        libdl.so.1 (SUNWprivate_1.1);
        SUNW_1.21;
        SUNWprivate_1.2;

There does not appear to be a version 1.22 for Solaris 8.

What are the chances of recompiling Prince for Solaris 8 (sparc)?

We have no plan to support any additional versions of Solaris for the Sparc architecture at this time. Solaris 8 was released in 2000 and its official support period was scheduled to end in March 2012, so I would suggest upgrading.
