Is it possible to have a cross-reference to/from elements inside SVG elements?

No, not yet. I will add this to the roadmap.

I need this - this is a deal-breaker for me.

I can easily create an SVG that shows a collection of clickable nodes. The SVG has an associated image map. Each node is a hyperlink to other parts of the page it's in, for clear and easy navigation of the page.

If Prince can build a PDF version of a page like this, I'm paying.

Links into and out of SVG is supported in the Prince latest builds.
