Hi all -
I've noticed that documents created with Prince tend to be quite large when compared to those created with other HTML->PDF creation tools.
When compared to documents generated with HTMLDoc, Prince documents are winding up at about 4x the filesize.

I realize that Prince does not create linearized PDF files, but is this optimization really something that results in a filesize reduction so great?

Perhaps one of the more experienced developers could present some configuration tips that may result in smaller filesizes?

Linearization should not reduce the size of PDF files, only reorder them for more convenient access. Are you using large images, or fonts? If you have two PDF files for comparison you can email them to me (mikeday@yeslogic.com) to take a look.

For the record, this was related to a font subsetting issue that has been fixed in Prince 7.0.
