Anyone know the best way to convert a PDF doc to XML while maintaining all the formatting? I don't want to have to open in Acorbat and save as XML

Google for it. (PDF to XML conversion) There are several products that will create Word documents. They vary in how well they do it. You can export to Word XML. Preserving format isn't really what you want when you convert to XML. You do want meaningful markup.

There are commercial companies that will do it for a fee.
