Upper Rock Creek- Existing Conditions

This is general overview report of existing conditions of Rock Creek (near Ovando, MT). The study area is the main steam of Rock Creek between Cooper Lake Road (upstream) and Kleinschmidt Flat Road (downstream). Included in this report are an analysis and graph of the longitudinal profile (total and broken into upper and lower sections), a substrate characterization based on Wolman Pebble count data including a cumulative distribution analysis with results presented in tabular format and as both a graphical chart and bar chart. An images report has been included of some of the reach's aerial photographs and other images to provide a visual overview for assistance in interpreting the data and analysis. The final sections of the report include the survey overview and elevation controls and processed survey data for the Longitudinal Profile (total length). This report is intended to characterize and document the existing condition of reach and for assessment of potential restoration efforts.
